Just ask the Kids: Crazy with Christopher

Welcome to Just ask the Kids!  Meet Christopher, age six:

Thanks to Kenya at Here's the Thing for helping Christopher with the questions!

P: What a great picture!
K: This was taken this past year. We were getting ready to dye eggs and he wanted to put on his one and only Halloween costume from age 4. We don't participate in Halloween but they were having a party at his pre-school that year so I didn't want him to be left out. Anyway as you can see, he has outgrown the sleeves.

P: Tell me 4 things about yourself, please
C: Ahhh, good grief.
Well, I can do a lot of swimming things that’s really familiar. I can swim very deep in the water without any help.  I can run super fast. I can build very large things with legos, that can spin, that are 3 inch tall.
I like to play with my toys and electronics.

P: Do you like school?
C: Yesssssssss (sigh)

P: What do you want to be when you grow up?

C: I’m thinking about being a fighter jetter or a pilot but I don’t really know. Uh, I wanna be anything.

P: What do you think your Mom wanted to be when she was your age?
C: Help daddy.

P: What if your favorite food?
C: You already know that! It’s quesadillas. And pizza!

P: Do you know what you want to be for Halloween?
C: Um, let me guess. A zombie.
P: What is your favorite part of Halloween?
C: I get to go over (friends) house and scare people (he’s never done this)

P: What is your favorite movie and why?
C: Hmmm, let’s see. It’s on the iPad but I don’t know what it’s called. It’s a secret agent penguin movie or something. Whatever its called. They have to like battle this evil dolphin, but its sorta weird because they’re not so much as spies.
P: How many times have you watched it?
C: Ummm, let me guess. Ten times.

P: If you could have any animal as a pet what would it be and why?
C: Let me guess. A dog. I like them except for (points at butt) dog doo.

P: Do you have a brother or sister?  No. Do you want one?
C: I want a brother. Because (friend) has a nice one but I have zero. It’s no fun without more than one kids at one house. It’s not really fun. I would want two kids in a row to be at my house. :-(

P: What is your favorite thing to do with your mom on the weekend?
C: Umm, hang out or do Angry Birds. But you’re not so much as interested in Angry Birds.

That was so cute - and a little pressure for a sibling! It's a great idea to interview the kids - so fun to hear how they think!
