Just Ask Justin, Dodge that Ball!

We're back for another installment of Just Ask Justin!
Thanks for being on my blog today, Justin.
Summer is a great time to get outdoors and play.  Let's talk about your favorite outdoor games.

P: Can you tell me 3 of your favorite outdoor games?
J: My first favorite is dodgeball, my second favorite is soccer and my third favorite is hide and seek.

P: Do you ever make up your own outdoor games?
J.  Yes.  I made up dodge frisbee.

P: What is dodge Frisbee?
J.  It's a combination of dodgeball and Frisbee. You throw a frisbee and try to hit people with it.  Like dodgeball, if someone catches it, you are out.  If it hits them, they are out.

P:  What do you like about Dodgeball?
J.  When the ball towards you, you get to dodge it.  I learned how to dodge quickly in Karate.  I also like
throwing balls at people.

P.  What are some rules for Dodgeball that are most important?
J.  To make sure no one gets hurt, do not throw the ball at each other's faces.

P:  Do you ever make up your own rules for Dodgeball?
J:  No.  Sometimes when they're are little kids, we make it so they don't get out.   We don't throw the ball at them.  We let them throw it at us.

P:  What do you like best about soccer?
J.  I like playing in competitions.

P:  What is your favorite position to play?
J.  I like playing offense, center or wing.  It is the best position to get the ball into the goal.

P:  How long have you played soccer?
J.  Since Kindergarten.  This August will be my 4th year playing.

P:  Do you like playing hide and seek outdoors better than indoors?
J:  Yes, because they is more space and more hiding spots.

P:  Do you play hide and seek any differently than most kids?
J:  When I was little, I used to play with my imaginary friends.  They were very hard to find.

Thank you for sharing your favorite outdoor games.  Justin would love suggestions for next time.  What would you like to ask Justin?

My imaginary friend's name was Swimmy. He and his mother lived on my swing set, but we never played hide and seek.

Justin's imaginary friends have changed names so many times over the years, I have lost track.
Thanks for visiting.
Justin is going to camp this week, so he will probably talk about that next time!
Stay tuned!
